• This bit is designed for horses that lean heavily on the hand and tend to fall on the forehand. The goal is to encourage the horse to lift its withers and shift weight onto the hindquarters. Of course, the "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient muscular development and back flexibility. It should therefore be avoided on young horses or those that are not yet physically prepared.
• The bit is attached to the bridle via rope cheekpieces that slide within two slots on the rings. The gag cheekpieces act on the poll through the bridle headpiece.
• This bit requires light, educated hands, as it can encourage the horse to overbend. It is therefore recommended for experienced riders only.
