• Suitable for ridden work or lunging, the rope glides more freely through the pulleys, preventing the horse from hollowing.
• The gogue should be adjusted gradually during work. The aim is to encourage the horse to stretch its neck forward and horizontally, lifting the back.
• Recommended for horses with an inverted neck, a hollow back, or those suffering from a compressive style of riding.

As with all training aids, it is important not to adjust it too short – especially at the start of a session. The goal is not to restrict the horse, which would trigger resistances, but to set a framework within which the horse can find its own balance freely.

The gogue is a rehabilitation tool.
Its use should be temporary, tailored to a specific stage of the horse's training. It should never be used permanently.
The gogue can also help reduce resistance caused by back pain, but it does not resolve it.

Treat new leather with neatsfoot oil. Clean regularly with glycerine soap.
