Clean the hoof using a brush.
Open the pot and wipe the brush found in the cap along the rim of the pot.
Apply the liquid ointment over the entire outer surface of the hoof. A thin coat is all it takes to maintain the horn wall.

Regular use is recommended three to four times per week.
Daily application is also possible to help prevent cracks and brittle hooves.

During dry spells, or if your horse's hooves need extra moisture, you can rinse the hooves with water in the morning and apply the oil in the afternoon — or do it the other way around.
We advise against rinsing, drying, and then applying the oil.
Since these products are water-free, and water and oil don't mix well, this would reduce effectiveness.

If the hooves are still very dry, you can alternate with the summer or mid-season ointment.
