TdeT - Mixed German Reins Biotack® and Rope Black/Beige
- The best of leather combined with the ease of synthetic — no more tedious oiling! A quick rinse under the tap and your reins will look as good as new. These reins are made in two parts: - High-resistance nylon rope for optimal sliding through the bit rings. - Biotack® in the hand section, for its suppleness, fineness, and grip.
- Its texture allows you to distinguish it from the bit rein without looking. Attaches to the girth with snap hooks or with the adapter plate for girths without a D-ring. Brass hardware.
- German reins are also known as sliding reins. They are much longer than standard reins, running from the girth, through the bit rings, and back up to the rider's hands. The fixed attachment sits at the chest (or on either side of the saddle). The reins slide through the bit rings whenever the rider adjusts their length or the horse moves its head.
- When properly fitted, they define the maximum neck elevation — the height the head should not exceed. In fact, they are not "adjusted" in the traditional sense; they only come into contact when the horse raises its neck above a chosen point. The head-neck angle must remain open. German reins are absolutely not intended to bring the horse on the bit.
