Lathering the shampoo:
Wet your horse's coat.
Wet the sponge and apply the shampoo.
Use the sponge to work the shampoo into a lather with circular movements over the coat.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Avoid scrubbing too vigorously to prevent irritating your horse's skin, especially on sensitive areas.
Use separate sponges for the coat and sensitive areas to avoid cross-contamination.
