• The running martingale is a rein aid made up of 2 straps: one attaches to the girth on one end, and on the other end splits into 2 parts fitted with rings that slide through the reins. The second strap is a neck strap that goes around the horse's neck to keep the martingale in place. Avoid setting it too short, as this may restrict the horse's natural neck movement.
• The running martingale is not designed to bring the horse's head down, but to prevent head tossing.
