After cleaning (and drying if needed) the application area, use a brush to apply the balm to the hoof wall, sole, frog and bulbs of the heel, paying special attention to the wall and the perioplic crown. In cases of soft, painful cavities or "rotting" frogs, apply once daily until improvement is seen.
