• The double joint is beneficial as it offers some mobility in the centre, limiting tongue pinching compared to a standard single-jointed snaffle
• It also limits tongue constriction and pressure on it
• The Metalab Double-Jointed Eggbutt Snaffle is best suited to horses with wider bars, so the double joint does not create pressure at the top of the bar
