Please note that for a stirrup of this design (with a quick-release arm), release is not guaranteed 100% in the event of a fall. Several factors may prevent it, such as a horse falling on the rider, a loose girth causing the saddle to slip, or an unusual angle of exit that does not generate enough lateral force to open the arm. This remains very rare, but riders should be aware that no stirrup is foolproof in every situation.
