The All Weather Hurricane outdoor rug is a truly unique, fully waterproof rug designed for use in the paddock or field. It keeps your horse completely dry, even in the heaviest downpours — making it the perfect choice for horses that live out 24/7. Exceptionally resistant to tearing and rubbing, it maintains 100% waterproofing without ever needing to be re-proofed.
Fabrics & Materials
For complete wind and waterproofing, we used the same PU-coated material found in waterproof horse sheets — the same coating used in traditional fisherman's yellow oilskin jackets. Applied directly to the outer shell, this finish is truly unique in the equestrian rug market. The faux rabbit fur lining is incredibly soft against your horse's skin, preventing rub marks while also promoting a healthy, shiny coat and eliminating any feeling of dampness beneath the rug. The Hurricane features two classic brass-finish stainless steel front closures, two surcingles, and a detachable plastic-coated tail strap. Faux leather details and golden accents give your horse an effortlessly sophisticated look — even on the rainiest of days.
Fit & Sizing
The faux rabbit fur texture is designed to naturally fall back into place after your horse rolls or lies down. The extended tail flap provides extra protection against cold and moisture. For added coverage, a matching neck cover is available separately and fits perfectly with the Hurricane rug. Available in 0g or 150g fill, it attaches and detaches easily via two hook-and-loop closures. The neck cover features a slightly longer cut at the withers, ensuring no rain can sneak through.
Care Guide
The Hurricane rug can be machine washed at 30°C or simply wiped clean with water and a sponge. We recommend air drying afterwards. Unlike other waterproof rugs, this one requires no fluorocarbon re-treatment — washing does not affect its waterproofing in any way.
