Jump'In - Twisted Gag Bit with Port and Large Rings
Specifications
- Rings: 90 mm
- Mouthpiece thickness: 12 mm
Usage
- Acts on the horse's balance by encouraging it to rebalance and shift its weight onto the hindquarters.
- Requires specific cheek pieces
- The larger the rings, the stronger the gag action
- Can be used directly on the gag cheeks, with bit connectors, or with four reins
- The slender mouthpiece combined with the twist and the central plate allows the horse to accept the bit more willingly and gives the rider greater control
- This bit is designed for horses that are heavy on the forehand and tend to lean strongly on the rider's hand. The aim is to encourage the horse to lift its withers and transfer more weight onto the hindquarters. Of course, the "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient musculature and back suppleness. It should therefore be avoided on young horses or those that are not yet physically prepared.
- The bit is attached to the bridle via rope cheek pieces that slide inside two notches on the rings. The gag cheek pieces act on the poll through the bridle's headpiece.
- This bit requires a sensitive hand, as it often encourages the horse to come behind the vertical. It is therefore reserved for experienced riders.
