Usage

• The Pessoa New Style is a gag bit with the distinctive feature of having the top ring integrated into the main ring. It sits between a three-ring bit and a classic Pessoa.
• The leverage will be softer than on a classic Pessoa
• The reins can be attached fixed to the bottom ring, with rein connectors, or as two pairs of reins
• The double-jointed mouthpiece is suited to horses sensitive to pressure on the palate
• Rather thin mouthpiece, so slightly stronger action in the horse's mouth
• The Pessoa bit encourages a higher head carriage in horses that tend to fall on the forehand. The strength of the bit can be adjusted by varying the rein position on the rings — with the bottom ring providing the strongest action.
• It is also possible to use rein connectors and attach them to two of the three rings.
  More experienced riders can also use four reins, allowing for greater flexibility in adjusting the bit's strength.
