Usage

• Bit with a lowering lever action
• The reins can be fixed directly to the lower ring, used with coupling reins, or with two pairs of reins
• The ball joint mouthpiece is especially suited to horses that are heavy in the hand and take too much contact — by distributing the pressure points, it helps rebalance them more easily
• The Pessoa bit encourages a higher head carriage in horses that tend to lean on the forehand. The bit's intensity can be adjusted by changing the rein position on the rings — the lower ring delivering the strongest action.
• You can also use coupling reins and attach them to two of the three rings.
  More experienced riders may use four reins, offering greater flexibility in adjusting the bit's intensity.
