Usage

• Acts on the horse's balance, encouraging it to rebalance and shift its weight onto the hindquarters. 
• Requires specific elevator cheekpieces
• The larger the rings, the stronger the elevator action
• The needle cheeks help channel and assist with steering
• Can be used directly on elevator cheekpieces, with bit connectors, or on four reins
• The large tongue relief allows ample space for the horse's tongue without placing pressure on the palate, enabling better breathing.
• Helps the horse maintain a steadier, more consistent working frame.
• This bit is designed for horses that are heavy on the forehand and tend to lean strongly on the hand. The aim is to encourage the horse to lift through the withers and shift weight onto the hindquarters. Of course, this "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient back strength and suppleness. Best avoided on young horses or those not yet physically prepared.
• The bit is attached to the bridle via sliding rope cheekpieces running through two slots on the rings. The elevator cheekpieces act on the poll through the bridle headpiece.
• This bit requires soft, educated hands as it can easily encourage the horse to overbend. It is therefore best suited to experienced riders.
