Usage

• Acts on the horse's balance by encouraging it to rebalance and shift its weight onto the hindquarters.
• Requires specific elevator cheekpieces
• The larger the rings, the stronger the lifting action

• Can be used directly on the elevator cheekpieces, with coupling rings, or with four reins
• The leather-wrapped mouthpiece offers genuine comfort in the horse's mouth, encouraging relaxation on the leather while maintaining the feel of a double-jointed German Silver bit
• Prevents an overly cold contact in the mouth
• Requires minimal maintenance – rinse thoroughly and oil with paraffin oil or food-grade oil as soon as the leather begins to stiffen
• This bit is designed to help horses that fall onto the forehand and tend to lean heavily on the hand. The aim is to encourage the horse to lift its withers and shift weight onto the hindquarters. Of course, the "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient muscle development and back suppleness. Best avoided on young horses or those that are not yet physically prepared.
• The bit attaches to the bridle via sliding rope cheekpieces threaded through two notches on the rings. The elevator cheekpieces act on the poll through the bridle's headpiece.
• This bit requires a sensitive hand, as it often encourages the horse to overbend. It is therefore best suited to experienced riders.
