Jump'In - Mac Genis Needle Gag Bit
- Rings: 50 mm
- Port thickness: 12 mm
Usage
- Acts on the horse's balance by encouraging it to rebalance and shift its weight onto the hindquarters.
- Requires specific gag cheekpieces
- The larger the rings, the stronger the gag action
- The needle shanks help guide and assist with direction
- Can be used directly on the gag cheekpieces, with connectors, or with four reins
- The Mac Genius port is fairly strong due to the significant angle it exerts on the horse's bars. The copper rings help the horse relax during work.
- This bit is designed to help horses that tend to lean heavily on the hand. The aim is to encourage the horse to lift its withers and shift weight onto its hindquarters. The "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient musculature and back suppleness. It should therefore be avoided with young horses or those not yet physically prepared.
- The bit is attached to the bridle by sliding rope cheekpieces running through two notches on the rings. The gag cheekpieces act on the poll via the bridle headpiece.
- This bit requires soft, sensitive hands, as it often encourages the horse to overbend. It is therefore recommended for experienced riders only.
