Jump'In - Leather Hackamore Small Flat Shanks
- Short curved shanks
- Leather nose
Usage
- Leverage action on the nose and lower jaw only
- Best used with the Jump'In Hackamore bridle
- The hackamore is ideal for horses that cannot tolerate a bit in the mouth, those that fight the contact, or horses that cannot be ridden in a traditional mouthpiece
- This hackamore suits both leisure and competition horses. Its very slight vertical offset and curved shank make it an exceptionally gentle option.
- Removable and adjustable leather noseband
- Leather curb chain
- When the rider applies pressure, the noseband presses down on the horse's nose via a leverage effect. As with all hackamores, the longer the shanks, the stronger the action.
- This is a fairly severe bit that can be challenging for some riders, as contact must be maintained on both reins simultaneously. Turning on a single rein will turn the hackamore – but not the horse. That said, with short shanks and a comfortable noseband, it can create a sense of tension in the contact, which some sensitive horses may respond to well.
Composition
Leather and stainless steel
