• Prevents an uncomfortably cold contact in the mouth
• Requires very little maintenance – rinse thoroughly and oil as soon as the leather stiffens, using paraffin oil or a food-grade oil.
• Through its slight lever effect, this bit encourages poll flexion. The Baucher bit is fairly strong and requires a sensitive hand from the rider. It should be avoided with horses that tend to overbend.
