Use

• The reins can be attached fixed to the lower ring, using coupling reins or as two pairs of reins

• The Pessoa bit encourages a higher head carriage in horses that tend to lean on the forehand. The strength of the bit can be adjusted by positioning the reins on different rings — the lower ring providing the strongest action.
