Usage

• As a lowering bit, the German Pessoa is specially designed to prevent pinching at the usual friction points
• The lever action is slightly softer than on a classic Pessoa
• The reins can be attached in a fixed position to the lower ring, with bit connectors, or using two pairs of reins
• The square mouthpiece is stronger in its action due to its harder angles. The copper rollers help relax the horse during work
• The Pessoa bit encourages a higher head carriage in horses that tend to be heavy on the forehand. The strength of the bit's action can be adjusted depending on where the reins are attached to the rings — with the lower ring offering the strongest action.
• It is also possible to use bit connectors and attach them to two of the three rings.
  More experienced riders can also use four reins, allowing for greater flexibility in adjusting the bit's action.
