Use

• As a leveraging bit, the German Pessoa is designed to prevent pinching at the usual friction points
• The lever action is slightly softer than on a classic Pessoa
• Reins can be attached in a fixed position to the lower ring, using connectors or two pairs of reins
• The ball-jointed mouthpiece breaks up pressure points while remaining comfortable for the horse
• Ideal for active horses that carry a lot of weight on the forehand
• The Pessoa bit encourages a higher head carriage in horses that tend to lean on the forehand. The bit's action can be adjusted depending on where the reins are placed on the rings — with the lower ring offering the strongest action.
• It is also possible to use connectors and attach them to two of the three rings.
  More experienced riders can also use four reins, allowing for greater precision when adjusting the bit's action.
