Jump'In - Elevating Bit with Flat Tiltable Mouthpiece
- Elevating Bit with Flat Tiltable Mouthpiece – Jump'In
- Mouthpiece thickness: 30 mm
- Ring size: 70 mm
- This bit is designed to help horses that fall on the forehand and lean heavily on the hand. The goal is to encourage the horse to lift its withers and shift more weight onto the hindquarters. The "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient musculature and back suppleness. It should therefore be avoided on young horses or those that are not physically prepared.
- The bit is attached to the bridle by sliding rope cheeks running inside two notches on the rings. The elevator cheeks act on the poll through the headstall of the bridle.
- This bit requires a skilled hand, as it often encourages the horse to come behind the vertical. It is therefore best suited to experienced riders.
