Jump'In - Dragonfly Elevator Bit with Balls
- Rings: 75 mm
- Mouthpiece thickness: 12 mm
Usage
- Strong action due to the length of the shanks, significant leverage effect
- Combines the action of the dragonfly bit and the elevator bit — a very strong bit, not suitable for all hands
- Better control thanks to the size of the shanks
- Option to add a curb chain
- Can be ridden on a single rein, four reins, or with rein connectors
- This bit is designed to be useful for horses that are heavy on the forehand and tend to lean strongly on the hand. The goal is to encourage the horse to lift its withers and shift weight onto its hindquarters. Of course, the "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient back musculature and suppleness. It should therefore be avoided on young horses or those that are not physically well-prepared.
- The bit is attached to the bridle via sliding rope cheekpieces that fit into two slots on the rings. The elevator cheekpieces act on the poll through the bridle's headpiece.
- This bit requires a sensitive hand, as it often encourages the horse to overbend. It is therefore reserved for experienced riders.
