Jump'In - Combined Elevator Bit
- Rings: 75 mm
- Mouthpiece thickness: 18 mm
Use
- Encourages the horse to shift its weight onto the hindquarters. Poll pressure is reduced through the action of the curb chain, distributing the effect across the poll, the bit, and the curb chain.
- The keepers prevent the bit from tipping and ensure the bridle cheekpieces are held firmly in place
- Can be used directly on the elevator cheekpieces, with coupling reins, or with four reins
- The double joint makes the bit more ergonomic in the horse's mouth and prevents uncomfortable contact with the palate
- This bit is designed for horses on the forehand that tend to lean heavily on the hand. The aim is to encourage the horse to raise its withers and shift its weight onto the hindquarters. Of course, the "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient muscle tone and back suppleness. Best avoided with young horses or those not yet physically prepared.
- The bit is attached to the bridle using sliding rope cheekpieces fitted into two notches on the rings. The elevator cheekpieces act on the poll via the headpiece of the bridle.
- This bit demands a sensitive hand, as it often encourages the horse to overbend. It is therefore reserved for experienced riders.
