Jump'In - Anatomic Fixed Pelham Bit Stainless Steel
- Shanks: 45 mm
- Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm
Usage
- A compromise between a double bridle and a snaffle
- Leverage effect varies depending on shank length and curb chain adjustment
- Can be used direct, with rein connectors, or with four reins
- Produces a poll flexion as well as pressure on the bars
- Standard mouthpiece size
- The rotation of the left and right mouthpiece on the central axis allows the horse to work in perfect symmetry
- The Pelham bit is often recommended for better control of strong, hot-blooded horses. It tends to have a lowering effect when the reins are attached to the lower ring, and a slightly raising effect when attached to the large rings.
- The longer the shanks, the stronger the leverage effect.
The Pelham can be used with 2 or 4 reins. It can also be used without a curb chain to soften its action on the mouth.
You can also use a leather strap as a replacement for the metal curb chain.
