• The Blue Steel alloy is composed of 54% carbon and 46% manganese
• Blue Steel bits oxidise when exposed to air and moisture. A thin layer of rust with a sweet taste will form, naturally stimulating saliva production in your horse
• The more your horse salivates, the more easily it will accept contact with the bit
• During the oxidation process, the colour will shift to grey/brown
• A gag bit, the classic Pessoa has a more direct leverage effect than the German Pessoa
• The single-jointed self-locking mouthpiece allows freedom of contact while maintaining control and security when needed
• A slightly slimmer mouthpiece for greater finesse and subtlety in your aids

This bit can be used with reins attached directly to the lower ring, with bit converters, or with two pairs of reins
