• This bit is intended for horses that are heavy on the forehand and tend to lean strongly on the rider’s hands. It aims to encourage the horse to lift its withers and shift weight onto its hindquarters. The "rebalancing" effect can only be achieved if the horse has sufficient back strength and suppleness, so it should be avoided for young horses or those that are not physically ready.
• The bit attaches to the bridle through rope cheekpieces that slide through two slots in the rings. The gag cheekpieces apply pressure to the poll through the bridle’s crownpiece.
• This bit requires a skilled hand, as it can encourage the horse to tuck its head behind the vertical. It is therefore best suited to experienced riders.
• The leather-covered mouthpiece feels comfortable in the horse’s mouth and encourages relaxation against the leather while maintaining contact through the bit
• Avoids an uncomfortably cold feel in the mouth

• Rinse after each use to prevent residue build-up
• Condition the leather with a vegetable oil (never use neat's-foot oil or other synthetic oils) to keep it soft and comfortable for your horse
