Before first use, make sure to oil your halter thoroughly. The oil will soften the leather and prevent it from drying out and cracking.

Hand wash only.

Care for the leather regularly with a damp sponge and glycerin soap to keep it supple and strong.
Dampen a sponge with lukewarm water. Wring out the sponge before use. Wipe down all parts of the halter to remove sweat, dirt, and grease. Allow the leather to air dry before applying the glycerin soap.
Regular application of a leather balm is recommended.
