Before first use, be sure to oil your halter thoroughly. The oil will soften the leather and protect it from drying out and cracking.

Hand wash only.

Care for the leather regularly with a damp sponge and glycerin soap to keep it supple and strong.
Dampen a sponge with lukewarm water and wring it out before use. Wipe down all parts of the halter to remove sweat, dirt, and grease. Allow the leather to air dry before applying the glycerin soap.
Regular application of a leather conditioner is recommended.

Vegetable-tanned leather for the headpiece and cheekpieces.
