Freejump - Care Kit
Leather is a living material that requires proper care. Regular maintenance will significantly extend the life of your boots.
- 1/ Sweat and certain arena surfaces can be highly corrosive to leather. Clean your boots after every use with a damp sponge or cloth and clean water.
- 2/ Once or twice a week, use a soft-bristle brush to remove dust and fine dirt. Always clean the leather gently and thoroughly before applying any conditioning product.
- 3/ Apply Freewax using a piece of cloth. Use Freewax sparingly to nourish and waterproof the leather.
- 4/ Using the chamois cloth, apply a small amount of shoe polish cream. With the polishing brush, work it in using small circular motions, making sure to reach the stitching.
- Shoe polish cream is a conditioning product containing black polish and beeswax. The black polish won't dye the leather but helps maintain its colour over time, while the beeswax keeps the leather nourished and supple.
- 5/ Finally, use a polishing brush to bring out the shine of the leather.
- Polish your boots 1 to 2 times per week depending on use. Avoid polishing too frequently.
