Feeling - Chrome Steel Hackamore

• In chrome steel, with a flat noseband in split leather (cowhide) lined with synthetic sheepskin
• Recommended for trail riding — allows the horse to graze with ease
• When the rider applies an aid, the noseband presses on the horse's nose via a lever action. Again, the longer the shanks, the stronger the effect.
• This is a fairly severe bit that can be challenging for some riders, as contact must be maintained on both reins simultaneously. Turning on a single rein causes the hackamore to turn — but not the horse. That said, with short shanks and a comfortable noseband, it can create a sense of tension in the contact, which some sensitive horses respond to well.
