• Apply the lotion using gloves on all affected areas, rubbing gently with your fingers or a soft cloth
• Apply twice a day during peak itching periods, then once a day, then 3 to 4 times a week as irritation subsides
• Affected areas should be washed and rinsed thoroughly at least once a week to prevent bacterial growth
• After bathing or intense exercise, reapply the lotion to protect and soothe your horse from itching and insects
• For horses prone to sweet itch, it is recommended to apply Killitch lotion in early spring as a preventive measure, before symptoms become apparent and to prevent the condition from taking hold over summer
