SUMMER ITCHING
When itching appears, apply derfen original at the base of the mane directly onto the skin and massage gently.
Reapply when the horse starts scratching again.
It is not necessary or recommended to use derfen Original as a preventive measure.

WINTER SCRATCHING
Several causes should be investigated depending on each case: phthiriasis (lice), a dietary issue (deficiency, excess, imbalance), a gastric problem (pain, ulcers), a contact allergy (rug...), a medication reaction, a change causing stress...
Derfen Original will significantly help soothe itching each time, but the underlying cause should be identified to ensure lasting care for the animal.

LICE AND PARASITES
Lice are not always visible to the naked eye due to the coat, but persistent scratching with no apparent reason may be a sign of phthiriasis. In that case, contact your veterinarian for appropriate treatment.

Do not apply daily or as a preventive measure. Allow at least 3 days between each application.
