Bentonite clay
Organic food-grade bentonite clay*, in accordance with regulations (EC) No. 834/2007 and (EC) No. 889/2008; certified by Ecocert-FR-BIO-01. A 100% natural mineral product derived from organic farming. Bentonite clay has a high concentration of minerals, including silica, calcium, magnesium, sodium, iron, and potassium.
Vegetable oils
Vegetable oils give the clay its creamy texture while preventing it from drying out the coat or skin. Rich in Omega fatty acids and Vitamin E, they nourish the skin, improve suppleness, and make the clay easy to remove.
Cider vinegar
Cider vinegar has astringent properties that help tighten tissues and reduce swelling and oedema. Combined with clay, its benefits are greatly amplified. It is rich in minerals, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, chlorine, sodium, sulphur, copper, iron, silica, and fluorine.
Minerals
Nigari supports tissue repair and flesh restructuring. Magnesium chloride remineralises the tissues.
Flax
Used as a poultice, flax is a plant with natural anti-inflammatory properties and powerful soothing effects that help manage hoof pain. Combined with clay and essential oils, its action is greatly enhanced.
ESSENTIAL OILS
100% pure and natural essential oils, derived from organic farming and certified by FR-BIO-01. All our essential oils are chemotyped and 100% pure and natural. Those present in the Hoof Clay have a refreshing, purifying, and cleansing action.
