• AIRSAFE jackets combine elegance and safety for competition (with the AIRSAFE show jacket) or training (with the softshell jackets or sleeveless gilets). The airbag lining is specially developed by Privilège Equitation to protect you in the event of a fall (neck, spine, coccyx, chest, pelvis).
• The AIRSAFE jacket designs and the extreme elasticity of the fabrics have been engineered to allow optimal airbag inflation in 0.123 seconds (within 0.01 or 0.02 seconds depending on atmospheric conditions, pressure, temperature…), while the average time between a rider being unseated and hitting the ground is around 0.2 seconds — meaning the jacket will be fully deployed well before impact. The jacket connects to the saddle in the traditional way via two straps: the first attaches to the stirrup leather bars and features a ring at its centre.
• A second strap is attached to a compressed air cartridge, itself connected to the first strap via a carabiner. The AIRSAFE lining is compatible with all jackets in the AIRSAFE range — it can be used with show jackets, the softshell jacket, or the sleeveless gilet. The trigger passes through the jacket via a discreet opening and attaches to the saddle in the traditional way. The airbag lining fastens to the jacket with 2 zip closures at the front and 5 press studs around the neck. The jacket itself closes with a zip.
