Spring Essentials for the Change of Season 🌸

Winter is officially over — spring has arrived! 💐 Temperatures are rising, the days are getting longer and nature is coming back to life. But this transition brings its own set of challenges: changing temperatures, shedding winter coats, and ground that can still be quite muddy… 🙊

We've put together our must-haves to help you and your horse enjoy this season to the fullest! ✨

Shedding season essentials ✨

Spring marks the end of the winter coat and the start of the big shed! To help your horse through it, we love the Hippotonic shedding comb, available in blue, pink, grey, green, lilac or orange. Its stainless steel blade effortlessly removes excess hair without irritating the skin, while its memory foam grip handle ensures ultra-comfortable use.

You can also combine the practical with the pleasurable with the Hippotonic anti-shedding/massage grooming glove. It gently removes loose hair while giving your horse a relaxing treat 😍

A lightweight mid-season rug 🌼

If your horse is clipped or sensitive to temperature changes, a lightweight waterproof rug (between 50g and 100g) is perfect to prevent morning chills while stopping them from overheating during the day.

Hoof care products 💪

With persistent ground moisture, hooves take a real beating. To prevent thrush or, on the other hand, excessive drying as the warmer days arrive, the Ungula Naturalis colourless mid-season hoof ointment is ideal. You can also alternate between a moisturising ointment and a cleansing treatment depending on the condition of the hooves.

Sun protection ☀️

With the return of sunshine, some light-skinned horses can suffer from sunburn, particularly on the nose. A sun cream is THE solution to avoid these little issues. Our favourite: the Cura Natural SPF50+ sun balm 🧡

Fly repellent products 🪰
