How to choose the right rug size for your horse?

Winter has well and truly settled in, with temperatures dropping, snow for some — and for us, rain!

Many of you choose to rug your beloved horses when the temperatures start to drop. 

However, choosing the right size of rug for your horse is not always straightforward. 

Here's how to measure your horse 

Measure your horse's back length, from the base of the withers to the base of the tail (A), as well as the height from your horse's withers to the ground (B).

You can then refer to this chart: 

You will most commonly find rug sizing based on back length (A), however you will also come across UK measurements in inches (C).

And what about my exercise rug?

Simply follow the exact same method — the sizing doesn't change!
