International Development Manager

Founded 7 years ago, OHLALA has become the go-to online saddlery on the French market and one of the most followed equestrian brands on social media. Primarily targeting show jumping, dressage, and eventing riders, the saddlery brings together over 175,000 followers on Instagram and counts tens of thousands of loyal customers.

OHLALA ships thousands of products across France and worldwide through its website, mobile app, and at major in-person events in France (trade shows and competitions).

🤓 JOB DESCRIPTION

You've got the picture — OHLALA moves fast, very fast, and does things differently! We need you to help grow our international sales, particularly through the following activities:

Sales activation:

  • Track and analyze KPIs by country: revenue, traffic, conversion rate, average order value, etc.
  • Define and coordinate with the communications teams the production of specific content aligned with the brand image
  • Adapt the commercial calendar by country and coordinate its rollout — either directly (exclusive campaigns) or in support of the France team (shared campaigns)


Store management:

  • Adapt e-merchandising to the local consumer environment and behavior
  • Adapt and coordinate all assets for each market (image editing, product descriptions, size guides…)
  • Oversee, review, and optimize the translation process (AI-assisted)
  • Monitor sales and identify top and underperforming products to optimize conversion in each market
  • Review and improve the internal search engine across different languages
  • Monitor local competitive, commercial, and technology trends


Customer experience optimization:

  • Adapt the prospect and customer journey to the habits of each market, through the website, communication channels, and customer service


Acquisition / Communication:

  • Define and drive the organic and paid traffic acquisition strategy across all online and offline channels: social media, SEA, social ads, retargeting, display, affiliate marketing, etc.
  • Contribute to SEO optimization for each language

 

You'll be able to rely on the Purchasing, Marketing, and Customer Relations teams to adapt the ingredients behind our success since day one to each market.

This is a key role that requires proactivity, commercial instinct, and creativity.

 

💪 IDEAL PROFILE

  • Experience opening and developing export markets online
  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential
  • Fluency in English is essential. A second language will be a strong asset (Dutch, German).
  • Be organized and extremely detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office — especially Excel — and the web ecosystem (Shopify CMS, Google Analytics, web marketing channels)
  • Strong knowledge of equestrian products and the equestrian world
