The Paturons protects do the job well, they protect many shocks and do not hurt. I had to change for Moumout because my mare injured with those I had before and those are nickels. They never got stalled.
It size small, I have a 1m65 mare with "fine" legs and L is just good.
Only downside, they "turn" sometimes a little, but it's more an aesthetic problem than anything else.
