It is important to know that with a stirrup of this design (with an opening arm rapide), the opening is not guaranteed at 100% in case of a fall. There are several factors, such as the horse falling, a loose girth causing the saddle to slip, and a slow or unusual exit angle not generating enough lateral force to open the arm. However, this remains quite rare.
