The All Weather Hurricane outdoor blanket is a completely hermetic unique blanket to use in the paddock or in a meadow. The cover guarantees a dry horse, even in the event of violent showers. Consequently, the cover is perfect for horses which are outside 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The cover is very resistant to tearing or scratch and remains 100% waterproof without having to waterproof again.
Fabrics and materials
For a 100 % wind and water seal, we used the same material as for the waterproof coat for horses, an PU coating. This coating is the same as that used for the yellow fisherman's jackets. The coating is applied outside the coverage and is therefore unique on the equestrian market of covers. Thanks to the artificial rabbit skin inside the blanket, the blanket is very soft for your horse's skin and therefore avoids friction marks. This lining also gives the horse a shiny coat and avoids a feeling of humidity under the blanket. The Hurricane blanket has two classic stainless steel closures brass finish at the front, two outspeople and a detachable tail belt covered with plastic. The artificial leather parts and golden details will give your horse a sophisticated air, even on rainy days.
Shape and size
The texture of the artificial rabbit skin is designed so that it is always recovered after your horse routed or lay down. The additional flap protects the horse's tail against cold and humidity. If you want additional protection, you can buy a separate brood cover, matching the Hurricane cover. The cover cover exists in 0g or 150g and easily detaches from the cover thanks to two auto -scoring closures. The neck cover is a little longer at the tourniquet, so you don't have to fear that the rain will infiltrate.
Maintenance guide
To clean the Hurricane blanket, you can machine wash it in 30 degrees or simply clean it in the water/sponge. It is better to allow the blanket to dry in the open air afterwards. Unlike other waterproof covers, this blanket does not need fluorinated carbon treatment because washing does not alter the waterproofing of this coverage
- Take a vacuum cleaner for a first cleaning: this will allow you to remove a huge part of the hair, dust, sand, etc.
- Then, head to the washing machine, at 30 degrees, without stain remover and without softener.
- Do not put your blanket in the dryer, let it air dry.
- At the end of winter we advise you to opt for a cover bag which will insulate them from dust during sunny days.
For outdoor covers:
- You can add a step by re-waterproofing your cover.
- With a waterproofing agent for roofs , spray from a distance of approximately 20 cm on the surfaces that you wish to make waterproof again.
