Use
- Relatively strong action combining the action of the pelham, namely the lever effect on the cervical and the gourmet, as well as the action of the lifter by rebalancing the horse and by re-selling its weight on the rear hand.
- The finesse of the cannon combined with the twist and the central palette will allow horses to more easily respect the jaw and have more control
- This mouth is not to be put between any hands, advised to a well -confirmed amateur or a professional
- This bit is supposed to be useful with horses on the shoulders that tend to rely strongly on the hand. The objective is to encourage the horse to go up its tourniquet and to transfer weight to its background. Of course, the "rebalancing" effect can only be obtained if the horse has a musculature and sufficient flexibility of the back. So to avoid in the young horse or the subjects poorly prepared physically.
- The bit is fixed on the net by sliding rope uprights inside two notches located on the rings. The amounts of lifter have an action on the nape via the net headrest.
- This bit requires a good hand because it often encourages the horse to be accused. It is therefore reserved for experienced riders.
- The Pelham bit is often indicated to better control the somewhat strong horses with blood. Rather, it causes a lowering effect when the reins are fixed on the bottom ring and slightly lifter when fixed on the large rings.
The longer the branches of the bit, the greater the lever effect.
The pelham can be used with 2 or 4 reins. Likewise, it is possible to use it without gourmet to soften your action on your mouth.
You can also use a leather strap to replace the metal gourmet.
