- "Howlett" weekend Jump'in
- This starting makes it possible to limit the elevation of your horse's head and the opening of the head/neck angle, without being too hard or too restrictive.
- Adjusted properly, it promotes bringing it back from your horse's head, in a comparable way to the German reins, but Without hooding it…
- Once your horse is in place on its 2 reins, the "Howlett" PLR backfall is then discreet, preventing it from passing over your hand.
- This reins/Martingale combination also offers the rider the advantage of having only one pair of reins in hand!
- The Howlett settling is used mounted
- Composed of a Martingale Howlett and a pair of reins
- As with all the starts, it is important not to settle it too short, particularly at the start of the session, the goal is not to imprison the horse which would cause defenses but to fix a frame in which the horse can set up freely.
