Leather is a living material that requires proper care. Thus, the life expectancy of the footwear will be extended thanks to regular maintenance.
- 1/ The acidity of sweat and certain quarry soils being very corrosive to leather, clean your shoes after each use with a sponge or a piece of cloth and clean water.
- 2/ Once or twice a week, dust with a soft-bristled brush to remove the smallest dirt. You should always clean the leather as best as possible and delicately before applying a maintenance product.
- 3/ Apply the Freewax using a piece of fabric. Freewax is used in small doses to nourish and waterproof the leather.
- 4/ Using the chamois, apply the shoe polish cream in a small quantity. With the polishing brush, make small circular movements to penetrate the polishing cream, including into the seams.
- Shoe polish is a fatty substance that contains black shoe polish and beeswax. The black shoe polish will not dye the leather but will help maintain its color over time. Beeswax helps maintain leather.
- 5/ Finally, use a polishing brush to make the leather shine.
- Wax your shoes 1 to 2 times a week depending on their use. It is not recommended to use shoe polish too often.
