• It has a stainless steel curb chain supplied with the bit.
• The pelham bit is often indicated to better control horses that are a little strong with blood. It rather causes a lowering effect when the reins are fixed on the bottom ring and a slightly lifting effect when they are fixed on the big rings.
• The longer the arms of the bit, the greater the leverage.
  The pelham can be used with 2 or 4 reins. Likewise, it is possible to use it without a curb chain to soften its action on the mouth.
