Little Ohlala tips for maintaining your shock absorbers:
Machine wash:
- Before putting your shock absorber in the washing machine, use a soft brush , a cap or, best of all, a Magic Brush to remove the hairs.
- If your shock has fragile details, turn it over and place it in a wash bag to protect it.
- Use natural detergent 🧴 (but no fabric softener so our horses don't have an allergic reaction!)
- We can also slide in the LeMieux washing balls which will allow us to remove even more hair.
- We set the cycle to 30 degrees maximum.
- Do not put your shock absorber in the dryer, let it air dry.
If shock absorbers with damper:
- If your shock absorber has a sheep part, do not hesitate to use your hair dryer at a distance of 20 cm from your shock absorber to maintain the volume of the sheep as long as possible.
Leather, felt, gel and mesh shock absorbers:
- We advise you to wash your shock absorbers by hand ! A soft brush, or with a sponge, slightly dampened.
- Add Marseille soap , a little patience and here is an equally conclusive result.
- Let it air dry.
