We must admit it is starting to get really cold and many of us are wondering how to prepare our horse and relax him before even getting on.

Here are some of our tips!

First of all, before riding Zébulon, Caramel or Bijou we must be sure that it is in perfect health. Have you ever had one of your friends - uninitiated to the world of horse riding - amazed at the amount of time we could spend brushing our horse before getting into the saddle?

Indeed, grooming is an essential step before being able to get into the saddle.
Not only is this a special moment with our horse, but it is also a real transition phase between the stable and work.

Allowing you to check if the horse has not been injured in the box or in the meadow and to wake up the muscles often sore from the aches of the day before, we cannot miss it. So we roll up our sleeves, we equip ourselves with a little elbow grease and we go!

We have then grouped together here the essentials (for us) for successful grooming:

Essential for grooming your horse

1 - Pénélope toe picks Store: Shopper
2 - Borstiq Farm Polypropylene cap: Shopper
3 - Borstiq Farm Arenga cap: Shopper
4 - Glossy American curry comb: Shopper
5 - Glossy soft brush: Shopper

During this preparatory dressing, pay particular attention to the back and the withers using large concentric circles, which will allow you to warm up the back and prepare all the muscles for exercise.

For stables with a solarium, grooming under the lights for 15 minutes is also a real plus to gently relax the topline.

For others, the Royal Back & Track Back Warmer may be the perfect substitute. Thanks to its ceramic-impregnated textile, it helps prevent injuries, reduce muscle tension, improve range of movement and increase circulation ( Find here ).

Bertrand Couthouis, rider of our young horses, also uses the walker for the work of his mounts. Letting the horse walk for 15 minutes alone and freely before starting work is the best way to have a horse available, both psychologically and physically.

SO ?! In the saddle ! <3
