Do you need to add bit rings to your Pelham or Pessoa and are a little lost on how to do it?
There are in fact four possibilities for attaching your reins to your bit.
- On the largest ring at the top (no leverage, effect comparable to a simple bit)
- On the bottom ring (very high leverage)
- Use two pairs of reins
- To the two rings, that is to say, a piece of leather called a wedding ring must be added which allows for an average action.
The Ohlala tutorial explains to you in a few very simple steps how to add them in a few steps:
- Check that your bit is in the correct orientation, with the ring loops pointing outwards on both sides so as not to injure your horse.
- Open the loops on each side of the wedding ring
- Hang the end of the wedding ring on the largest ring
- Hang the second end on the bottom ring
- Attach your reins to the loop formed by the alliance
- Hang your net amount on the highest ring (where the curb chain is positioned)
- Repeat the operation on the other side
