METTRE DE L'ARGILE À MON CHEVAL, le soigner avec de la terre ? 🧐

PUTTING CLAY ON MY HORSE, treating it with earth? 🤔

🧡  CLAY: WHY? FOR WHOM? HOW? WHEN? 🧡

Taking care of my horse is also about applying clay from time to time ... Yes, but when, where, how, why? No worries, just a few lines of reading and you'll be the kings of clay application! 👑

1. What is it for? 🧐

Clay is a natural product that helps the horse's tendons and muscles to rest 💤, regenerate 💪  and thus easily accompanies your more or less regular practice 🏋️‍♂️

2. Where do I put it? 🧭

More or less EVERYWHERE (except on the mucous membranes, of course)! Indeed, if you want to give a boost of "I feel better" to the back, limbs, or even the feet of your protégé, you will always find the clay that suits you best!

3. How to apply/remove it and how often? 💦

GOOD NEWS: applying it is as simple as removing it! 😌

HOW TO APPLY IT? To apply the clay, simply define the area you want to treat and clean it perfectly. Then, take a bit of product in your hand and apply it against the hair in a very thin layer. Once this first layer is applied, a second layer will be applied in a slightly thicker layer, in the direction of the hair this time, and that's it!

HOW LONG SHOULD IT BE LEFT ON? Generally, it is recommended to leave the product on for 1 to 24 hours. In short, as soon as the clay is perfectly dry, it can be removed, as it will have finished acting. It is advisable not to leave perfectly dry clay on for too long to ensure that the treatment is as effective as possible.

HOW TO REMOVE IT? Again, easy! For limbs all year round and for the whole body in summer ... Head to the shower 🚿 ! A strong jet of water and you can gradually peel off the dried product, it rehydrates and "falls off" effortlessly, and the action of the water comes to complete the treatment to perfection. If, however, you want to remove a treatment done on the body in winter, then we will avoid wetting our favorites in sensitive areas. In this case, a brush like a cap or magic brush and a little elbow grease, all you have to do is scrub to get rid of the clay 🤹‍♀️

AT WHAT FREQUENCY? A true routine of one treatment per day during intense periods to one per week during cooler periods can be established. The feeling of dependence does not arise here, no stress, you can overindulge! 💖

4. Which one to choose? #YenATropChezOhlala ! ⚖️

- The "classics"

A real Must Have that we must have in our grooming kits of the perfect little owner. After that, it's a matter of taste 😱 We recommend that you test several to see if you prefer to apply them wetter or drier, and especially which ones are the most effective on your horses. For this, there are small packaging options available to conduct all your tests! 📦

- The "localized" (e.g., hocks, feet, etc.)

For a well targeted treatment, a wide range is there to support you 🎪

Need to treat your horses' feet, which are suffering due to seasonal changes? The Hoof Clay from Alodis Care or the Natural'Must from Natural'Innov are two poultices that are easy to apply and remove themselves. You apply, then let it do its work! 🧖‍♂️

For the hocks? Our favorite 💓 is the Gun Tare from Alodis Care, made with essential oil of Basic, pain is quickly relieved and the effect is visible from the very first application 🌱

You will have understood, clay is the ally of the rider, and the well-being companion of our horses, a good gesture to include in your routine at the stables 👈
